I just wanted to say how much I agreed with some of the issues you mentioned of just the logistics of NAB/NMX. I was traveling by bus from NLV, and was doing a LOT of walking from bus stops to wherever and day one, I arrive at NAB, because I didn’t understand it was a different building… way over there. And so when I asked about checking in, (I had my naked badge, but no ribbons) and the folks at NAB had no idea where I was supposed to go. Finally getting directions from somebody, I head off and those directions were not quite accurate so I had to ask again… and then again… because none of them really knew, but sounded like they did… and I did a HUGE circle ending up right back at the exact same doorway I had started at. When I finally got over to NMX I had zero interest in anything a NAB. I never wanted to go there again. THEN, there were no water fountains. Water stations were set up in the rooms after an hour or so, but I didn’t know they were coming, so went searching for drinking water. I was doing this whole thing as inexpensively as possible… so was not buying water for $3. That first morning, other than the actual sessions, was pretty miserable. I had sworn I would never do another NMX. But…. as water came out and I could get to the NMX on my own without asking people, and as sessions went on… I changed my mind. But I do think more details could have been available… both before and since. The number of unanswered messages from me and others… is just very deflating. I want to be supportive, but I don’t feel cared for.

Dachia. My HEART ACHES FOR YOU!

Dude. I think I mentioned on my other podcast The Feed that when I did have *time* to myself, I spent it looking around for the BASICS – food/drink and bathrooms.

I cannot imagine having to walk around so much. I came in directly from the airport and the only reason that I was able to tell my taxi guy where to drop me off is because I was part of a booth, and the booth told me where it was located – the north hall – but even then…I spent about 20 minutes looking *for* our booth! Thanks so much for sharing!

Okay so honestly… I love the ShePodcasts FB Group because if I really wanted to, I could talk about boobs and not feel like I needed to check myself. If men were allowed to join the group, it would not be the same.

Gotcha. Talking about boobs is an essential part of true communication. Hadn’t thought about that. And you are totally right. Have no FEAR. We are SO not gonna open it up 🙂
